About Change: Pay Attention to the Details

“Change comes.  It always comes.  Unless you are no longer living, everything changes, always.  If you fight the change, it is more difficult.  If you allow the change to occur and flow with it, it will help you move easier, faster.

If you embrace the change, things will be simpler.  Then you may move faster.  You may feel yourself traveling along with the current wondering how you will get to the next stop; wondering if you will be able to stop at the next stop; wondering if you even have all that you need to travel the current so swiftly.  And yet, somehow, some way, you will.

I encourage you to stop struggling and just allow yourself to be present to that which you know you need to do.  Listen. See. Hear.  Acknowledge and accept the guidance that comes to you.  Look in the details for the information that you need.  Don’t expect the messages to come as some big, booming voice or a banner displayed where you can’t even miss it.  Look in the tiny, tiny details of life.  Each daily choice.  Pay attention to the details, and act upon what you see.  Even the slightest movement forward has value.  Even if that slight movement is only recognizing that it’s time to move forward.  Not actually moving, but just recognizing it, because for so long you have been denying it.  Let that be your first step:  that recognition.  And pat yourself on the back for recognizing that you recognized it.   That can be your second step.   See how easy that is?  Each time you take a small step, and recognize that you are taking it, you will be more able to take the next bigger step.  And you will do that just as easily as you took the small step.  Yes, there will be times when you will be asked to take even larger steps, leaps of faith they are called – of course, you’ve heard of those – and you hope and pray that you are never called to take one, because you’re not sure you’ll have the courage.  And yet you know that if you do take that leap, if you take the leap that you are being guided to take, your heart will sing in a way it has never sung before.  And your life will be filled with passion and joy and laughter.  Don’t be afraid of the leap.  I don’t ask you to take it unprepared.  So look into the details for the little steps you will need to take to be prepared for the leap.  And then just leap…and trust…for I will be there, arms outstretched ready to catch you, ready to guide your footing, so that you land softly and easily and gently, ready to move forward.  So just pay attention to the details.”
